Youth Entrepreneurship Expo at Bangladesh Investment Summit 2025

Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor to the interim Government of Bangladesh and Yasir Azman, CEO of Grameenphone Ltd, visit the Kurigram and Rangamati stalls at the Youth Entrepreneurship Expo 2025

As part of the Bangladesh Investment Summit 2025, 12 dynamic youth members from the LoGIC Youth Platform showcased their eco-friendly, sustainable, and culturally-rooted businesses at the Youth Entrepreneurship Expo, held under the Local Government Initiative on Climate Change (LoGIC) Project.

The event highlighted the transformative power of youth and innovation in shaping a resilient and inclusive economic future for Bangladesh.

Regional Showcases: A Celebration of Local Ingenuity

Representing four diverse divisions, the youth-led ventures demonstrated how local resources can fuel sustainable enterprise:

  • Kurigram: Climate-smart cultivation of quinoa and chia seeds, drawing significant attention for their nutritional value and adaptability.
  • Sunamganj: Heritage-rich nakshi katha embroidery and handcrafted fans, blending tradition with modern aesthetics.
  • Rangamati: Vibrant handloom textiles, promoting indigenous craftsmanship and eco-conscious production.
  • Patuakhali: Hygienically processed dry fish, creating livelihoods in climate-affected coastal areas.

A Hub for Opportunity and Connection

The Expo served as more than a showcase — it was a springboard for future collaboration:

  • Numerous potential investors and consumers shared their contact details, expressing interest in following up with the young entrepreneurs.
  • The products sparked engaging conversations on climate-resilient business models, particularly those grounded in local knowledge and sustainable practices.
  • Quinoa from Kurigram received the most positive response among all exhibits, with its market potential and health benefits resonating strongly with the audience.

This vibrant event demonstrated how youth-led, climate-conscious entrepreneurship can power inclusive growth — and why investing in local innovation is key to building Bangladesh’s sustainable future.
