LoGIC works with 42,500 climate-vulnerable people across 9 districts in the country. These beneficiaries are practicing Climate Adaptive Livelihood Options (CALO) by organizing themselves into groups. To scale up this initiative, an institutional arrangement was adopted.
LoGIC has facilitated the formation of registered cooperatives under existing cooperative laws, bringing these climate-vulnerable individuals together. As a result, a total of 247 cooperatives have been established, with capital investments made by LoGIC beneficiaries. These cooperatives are now pursuing green business ventures, receiving deposits from their members, and preparing to provide financial credit in the future.
