Climate Vulnerability Assessments identify what communities may be most vulnerable based on their exposure to projected changes in the environment and their sensitivity or adaptability to handle those changes. Such assessments can help identify areas where additional action is needed to reduce risks. Adapting to climate change and increasing resilience against climate-induced disasters are crucial aspects of the LoGIC project’s objectives. In this context, Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessments (CRVA), based on secondary scientific data and projections, have been compiled (top-down approach) for 10 Upazilas of Bandarban and Rangamati Districts. Climate Vulnerability Assessments (CVA) have been conducted for 22 Unions in Rangamati and Bandarban through data collection on climate hazards and focus group discussions following applicable PRA tools (bottom-up approach).
