LoGIC Project Maps Out 2024 Strategies in Annual Planning Workshop

The Local Government Initiative on Climate Change (LoGIC) Project has successfully concluded its Annual Planning Workshop held from February 5th to 7th, 2024. The workshop was chaired by Mohammad Fazla Azim, the National Project Director (NPD) of LoGIC and Joint Secretary of the Local Government Division.

The three-day workshop brought together project staff and representatives from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) to collaboratively plan and strategize for the upcoming year. The primary objectives were to develop the Annual Work Plan (AWP) for 2024 and establish a consensus on project activity implementation strategies.

The first day of the workshop commenced with highlights from 2023, and a comprehensive progress review of the Annual Work Plan for 2023 was presented, covering achievements, lessons learned, and recommendations.

The second day involved district presentations, reflecting on the successes and challenges of 2023. Each district shared findings and decisions related to the implementation of the Community Resilience Fund (CRF) and Performance-Based Climate Resilient Grants (PBCRG) related activities.

The final day focused on in-depth discussions on climate-resilient cooperatives and sessions on coordination, collaboration, and linkages with various stakeholders, including communication and global initiatives.

All the participants expressed their commitment to advancing climate change initiatives and look forward to the successful implementation of the 2024 Annual Work Plan.
